MUD Jeans has joined forces with REMO
Working together to make textile recycling visible and transparent. Inspiring people towards sustainable consumption, circular thinking and ‘closing the loop’.
Our goal
Create unique denim ‘washes’ with as little water and chemicals as possible! Obviously we are denim geeks and love to research new production methods that are even better for the environment. Our new ‘washes’ get their unique colours through laser and ozone, no water or chemicals have been used. Follow our journey here.
Our partners
We care about the relationships with our partners. Past April Team MUD visited Yousstex International, our jeans factory based in Tunisia. While witnessing the making of our denim and enjoying Tunisian harrisa for lunch, we got to understand that this factory really operates as a family, get to know the people who made your jeans in the video below.
Circular economy
So, the circular economy is all about recycling! That is why our main objective is to use as much post-consumer recycled cotton as possible. At this point our jeans consist of 23% and some of even 40% post-consumer recycled cotton. Our aim is to design jeans made of 100% recycled denim. Learn more about cotton, the basic material for our jeans, here.

*REMOkey® calculates the environmental savings in terms of CO2eq emissions, energy and water consumption. The calculation is based on a Life-Cycle Assessment (LCA) approach, which considers only the replacement of the raw material with recycled material. This analysis is carried out using the ‘Modint Ecotool’ software, developed by CE Delft, based on generally accepted LCA databases, international studies, literature and company data.
